Scholarship for Alaska Female Pilot
Now open: An Alaska female pilot scholarship! The Women in Aviation Last Frontier Chapter is back and we are excited to announce we are giving out scholarships this year. This year we are opening up a $2,500 scholarship towards any rating, or license, for any Alaska female WAI member!
About the Scholarship
We are beyond excited to be back and in the events mix. The WAI Last Frontier Chapter took a 3-year COVID break, and we are slowly but surely getting our footing back under us. To celebrate everything coming together, we wanted to award a hardworking Alaska Female Pilot a scholarship. We wanted to help her reach her goals. Us ladies know how tough reaching each milestone in aviation is, and that’s why we want to help. Most of us were in your shoes, and some of still are!
For the scholarship we will write a check to any flight school of your choice. We will open the scholarship May 5, 2025. It will close June 15th, 2025. The winner will be announced July 11th, 2025.
Requirements:
- Must be an Alaska Female Pilot (Alaska Resident)
- Must be a WAI member
- Fill out application via google forms: https://forms.gle/GkJMBXRrnQTfwk4C6
- This scholarship will be useable for approximately 6 months, and will be void after
- We will keep in touch with the winner to update our members on their progress, and to post them on our social medias
